What is Wakestock Gŵyl y Môr?
Wakestock began back in the
year 2000 as a party in a car park for 500 people and a wakeboard contest
during the day. Since then it has grown to become a major festival attracting
over 20,000 people and still takes place where it all began, on the Llyn Peninsula
in North Wales.
Wakestock has always been
about more than just the music – we’ve also attracted the best wakeboarding
talent in the world to this tiny corner of North Wales,
who make the pilgrimage every year for their chance to take the title of
Wakestock Champion.
Beach
The sheltered waters of Abersoch Bay play host to the Big Air Classic –
the fun element of the Wakestock Gŵyl y Mor competition.
